We usually reherse from 7.30pm - 10pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. Occassionally, we reherse on Sundays from 2.30pm - 5pm, but this usually depends on the availability of the performers.
We normally have our 'get in' at the theatre on the Sunday before the opening night to put up the set, see what space we have to work with and generally all get together to chat and enjoy each other's company whilst getting ready for the week ahead. This usually lasts from 9am - late on Sunday evening.
On the Monday, we finish up the last bits of painting and set making, and then we get straight into the technical rehersal at 7.30pm, but the length of the rehersal depends greatly on what technical nooks and crany's we need to fix and sort out.
Tuesday is the Dress Rehersal, where we start at 7.30pm prompt and carry on as if it were a proper performance until the last words are said. The first night starts on the Wednesday and we carry on until the Saturday evening.
Every night we congregate in the bar after each performance and chat, usually about the comical things that happened on stage or backstage that night. On the Saturday, after the last performance, we head back to the director's house and we have party, some drinks and have a good laugh and a chat about the whole process...and then, we start all over again!
Prospect people...
We need people of all ages, shapes and sizes to help with the following: Acting, Directing, Prompting, Organising Props, Set-building, Front of House, Lighing, Sound... and much more. The more people we get to take part, the better our productions will be, as we can start to expand and experiment with different things.
If you want to get in touch with us about anything at all - whether its joining us to perform or help out, joining our email mailing list, or just wanting to know more about the group - click HERE to email us and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
